omega-3 fatty acids and cardiovascular disease

they did comment in the study that the observational data on fish did suggest a threshold effect, though the threshold was a little different for different clinical outcome associations.  Jonathan did send this out a few weeks ago, so sorry it’s taken so long after the original blog. geoff

Thanks for reviewing this Geoff. Two points I wanted to add
1.       Not all fish are create equal as you have alluded to. See slide below which shoes quite a variation ( the tilapia that is ever present is probably not so beneficial in this department, for example )

2.       Also to add is that there seems to be a threshold effect (in the healthy populations observational studies) as shown on the attached slide from a review by Mozaffarian (Dean at Tufts Nutrition )  from a talk I have given
