hyperaldosteronism: targeting renin level

  a recent study found that patients with hypertension and aldosteronism benefit   clinically  by raising the renin as an important therapeutic target (see   aldosteronism med therapy target renin LancetDiabEndo2025  , or    doi.org/10.1016/S2213-8587(25)00263-3) Details : -- 24 studies were that included 6621 individuals with primary aldosteronism treated with renin-targeted medication were included in this review, of which 5 studies contributed to the meta-analysis for the primary outcomes     -- of the 24 studies, 21 were cohort studies, 3 were single-arm intervention studies where post-treatment renin status and relevant outcomes were analyzed, 10 were conducted in Japan/4 in the US/3 in Taiwan/2 in Germany/1 in China/1 in Norway/1 in Singapore/1 in Spain (though there was some overlap of the cohorts in some of the different studies)     -- mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) were the predominant tr...
